Susan
Vromen R.N. IBCLC
Staatsburg, NY
Childbirth
Educator
Certified Lactation Consultant
Married,
never blessed with children.
Since
I was a child I wanted to be a "baby nurse". I've always
had a strong interest in pregnancy, labor, birth, and neonates.
I was continually learning in the field of Obstetrics. I worked
in a Level 3 hospital with high risk pregnancies and deliveries
for 20 years.
Attended Albany Medical Center School of Nursing. Currently
enrolled in Excelsior College for BSN.
I
am certified
in In-Patient OB and as a Childbirth Educator. I recently became certified as a lactation consultant through IBCLC (International
Board Certified Lactation Consultant). In addition, I am interested in becoming
a HypnoBirthing® educator.
In
1992 I started a women's health division for high-risk pregnancies
with a home infusion company at Caremark. Caremark became
Coram and I continue to work for them.
In
2003, I began working at Northern Dutchess Hospital Birthing
Center as staff RN, Childbirth Educator, and filling in as a
Lactation Consultant.
Would love to get more involved in the community and networking
as a resource group.
